X Factor: Meet your TOP 12!

WHAT A WEEKEND! We finally know who's going through to live shows and we're not looking forward to it...there's just too many contestants we love this year! See whose made it to live shows below!
Last week we were crossing our fingers for Only The Young, Concept, and the new boy band or girl band. But typical Louis managed to screw things up as always! LGC are stoked with his decision to put Only The Young and the new boy band through but we think he's made a big mistake with Blonde Electra (previously Blonde Electric). Vocally, they're weak, they have great determination and we're not surprised Louis put them through but we reckon they will be one of the first to go. The Brooks and the new girl band really impressed us with their performances but unfortunately it wasn't enough for them to make it to live shows. We were also gutted to say goodbye to Concept, hopefully we'll see them return as a wildcard entry because they didn't deserve that early exit!
Here at LGC we decided Mel B probably has the strongest and most likeable contestants this year. We did not envy Mel B with her decision! However Paul and Andrea were an obvious yes (and if not i'm afraid we would have had to flown to Mexico to take out Mel B) thankfully though she also agreed and put them through to Live Rounds! Andrea performed "And I'm Telling You" which had the emotions running high at LGC HQ, Paul was flawless as usual singing the classic "Bridge Over Troubled Water." Mel made the right decision not putting through Danny, as he's good but not very rememberable, Jordan slowly grew on us but still didn't quite have that X Factor we need. Jake rounded off the top 3, but we were torn as we loved Jack and his amazing performances but alas we feel he put too much pressure on himslef and that ultimately cost him. We do like Jake but he is the weaker of the three. Overall though we almost got our ideal top 3 so we can't complain. Hopefully Jack can get a second chance in the wildcard round!
The Over's on Saturday were just absolutely shocking! So many people choked which was heartbreaking to see. Stevi was classic Stevi and delivered another heart warming performance but it wasn't enough to see him through, as much as we love you Stevi we agree with Simon in his decision. Lizzy was up next and there's no denying that she can sing although we agree with Sinitta saying she's the type of person where if she was in Live rounds we'd pop to the loo quickly while she was on. Helen was our biggest disappointment as we really wanted her to get to the Live rounds! However nerves and timing issues got the better of her and because of this she was sent home. We like Jay but we feel he needs to work on his confidence as he's not as strong in the beginning compared to later on in his songs. Fleur was the surprise act of the night wowing Simon and Sinitta and even us with her performance of Jessie J's "Bang Bang", we did feel bad for her when Simon mentioned he couldn't remember her past performances, but after Saturday she is defo on Simon's radar and ours...we're excited to see what she brings to the live rounds. Ben finished off Simon's top 3 which was one of the few obvious choices. We love his blues/rock tones and he's probably our favourite for the Over's.
Lauren once again stunned us with her flawless voice, we know she's going to go far in the competition! We're a bit unsure with Cheryl's decision for her two other girls. Chloe is an interesting character, her voice is relaxing but big when it needs to be but we're just not sure being the classy lady that she is, if she can pull off anything modern. Steph was our least favourite out of the girls to begin with, she has a nice voice, but it's not nearly as strong as the others and we feel it's just not big enough for her to stand out when she's on stage. Lola, oh Lola, poor girl was a bundle of nerves again and cracked before her performance, luckily she quickly composed herself and sang beautifully, a big difference from bootcamp but it wasn't enough to get her to lives. We were really shocked to see Kerrianne go! Although we kind of understood Cheryl's reason to not take her through, where would she fit in the market? Emily's exit was another shocker, she's confident, fun, and energetic but her age (15) caused a problem for Cheryl. We hope to see her return in a few years!
Who do you think will be the first to go next week? Who's going to win? LGC are predicting Chloe and Blonde Electra in the bottom two and Andrea, Paul, and the 8 boys will make the final 3!
