For the past 3 days i've been doing my yearly training days for my uni job. This year I decided I would try and make more of an effort in what I wear to uni instead of looking like a hobo all the time. Yesterday we also decided that as a group we'd go to Lyberry Bar in Portsmouth as some of the drink deals were as little as £1.90 (being a student we live for these cheap nights). I didn't want to spill anything on the Motel dress I wore during the day so I changed into something a bit more casual. Both the outfits I wore can be interchangeable and can suit either a day time or night time event.
I loved the Motel monochrome dress when I found it on Asos, and then when I realised it was reduced from £40 to £11 there really wasn't an option not to get it.
The top I wore in the evening is usually something I wouldn't buy, (if you saw my closet all you'd see is shades of black, white and grey). I was intrigued by the mustard and black stripes, it has a slight crop top feel to it when you put it on but the longer length helps make sure everything is covered. I also loved the feel of it as it's nice and light and feels quite luxurious.
The boots I wore are probably one of my fave pairs of boots I own, they have a nice chunky low heel, with cutout features and shiny buckles. I got them from Boohoo originally however as I got them last year they aren't on the site anymore, BUT I have found a close substitute on ebay (i'm even tempted on picking up another pair but in croc print!)
