Meet YEARS AND YEARS

After seeing their name pop up a few times on YouTube and thinking nothing of it, it wasn't until I was parking my car and their song "King" came on the radio (I think I was listening to Radio 1) that I finally listened to these guys and became hooked!

Years and Years are an electronica band hailing from London and is a 3 piece band consisting of: Olly Alexander, Mikey Goldsworth and Erme Turkmen.

Originally a 5 piece band, the group formed in 2010 after Mikey moved from Australia to London and met Erme online. However in 2013,  Noel Leeman and Oliver Subria decided to leave the band.
In 2014 Years and Years signed to Polydor Records and released their EP "Take Shelter" where it reached number 1 on the iTunes electronics chart.
It wasn't until 2015 that the band got their big spotlight after Zane Lowe selected their latest single "King" as his Hottest Record of the Day.
They also won the coveted BBC Sounds award in 2015 and have been nominated for a Brit Award.

Years & Years have been described as electro-pop, with R&B and 90s house elements.
They are definitely ones to watch this year, and are on my list of Bands to see!
